The Real Health Benefits of Yoga

habits of a healthy entrepreneur

Did you know that there are real health benefits of yoga?

You may consider this practice to just be stretching, or increasing flexibility. You may not realize just how healthy yoga can keep you.

It’s also important that you understand that yoga may be just as beneficial as physical therapy.

Today, I’ll share some interesting information from a study I read about, and the amazing health benefits of yoga you never knew about.

Statistics on Health Benefits of Yoga

There are numerous studies relating to health these days, but what you may not realize is how viable the statistics are on health benefits of yoga.

There are tons of helpful articles online, but most of them only share information pertaining to individuals that want to try yoga for stress.

While it’s a real benefit for your health, there are still many more.

The Boston Medical Center conducted a study on yoga to determine what health benefits it had to offer.

Outside of many folks practicing yoga to de-stress, those involved in the study discovered there was a lot more to this.

With 320 participants, nearly 70% of them were on pain medication for back pain.

It was three months later, and when interviewed, the number of individuals using pain medication for lower back pain was cut in half.

This was related to those who were taking a yoga class on a weekly basis. Another group that was in the study was in physical therapy only.

Getting in 15 sessions, compared to those attending a weekly yoga class got similar results.

It’s incredible to think that the yoga class was just as beneficial for these individuals. The ability to trim pain medication is a benefit in itself.

The link to improved health is essentially traced back to breathing and a meditative type state with yoga.

Learning to breathe properly is self-calming in addition to the other benefits. Another study using strong analysis, was able to prove that consistent practice of yoga can reduce the risk of heart disease.

Regardless of your experience level with exercise,  you can learn the most basic yoga poses at home.

Your local library may have several DVD’s to choose from. Just check them out and make a decision about which workout is best for you.

Taking a class is ideal if you can work it into your budget. You can learn more about good posture and how to maintain it.

There are so many positive things that you can learn while taking a yoga class. Wouldn’t it be worth it to learn more about how it could improve your health?

More Health Benefits of Yoga

Exercising is a great way to reduce your stress while improving your overall health. Getting exercise on a regular basis will help you build your immune system and boost your energy.

Additionally, the health benefits of yoga far outweigh what any one medication can do for you.

Prescription pain medication is not a long-term solution. Talk to your doctor about your health concerns, and ask if practicing yoga is right for you.

As you begin, pay attention to your breath. Learning to focus on your breathing and learning to self soothe will help you to reduce your stress levels quickly.

Although many find that yoga is beneficial for reducing stress, there are numerous “health benefits of yoga” as mentioned here in this article.

NOTE: the information on the study and the basic facts in this article were taken from an article on www.psychologytoday.com. You can read the full article HERE.

Is Content Marketing Failing?

Have you ever stopped to wonder how much content marketing is taking place each day?

It’s a lot.

Publishing is off to the races, and everyone wants a piece of the action. Is it working? Is it failing?

Information overload is a problem, no doubt.

What you may not realize is that without content you’ll fail. You don’t want to be without content, but if you are publishing content you do want it to work.

How can you make sure that your content marketing is headed in the right direction?

Today, I want to discuss why content marketing plays such a vital role in business, and how you can make sure that your content is being developed and used the way it was intended.

What Content Marketing is and What it Should Do for You

Your investment in content should be huge.

That will never change. What you should know is how to go about your content marketing.

If your audience isn’t grabbing onto what you’re saying, and you aren’t attracting bees to your hive, something is wrong.

What can you do to change your outcome?

Here are some hot content marketing trends that you should be following.

  1. Co-created content. You won’t have time every day to create from the heart, but what you can do is utilize co-created content. Partner with someone so that you can take turns. It’s unreasonable to think that you can do everything, and you don’t have to. Why not co-create? Two are better than one.
  2. Include automation in your workflow. It’s difficult to think of turning some of your work onto automation. As a business owner you can’t do it all. This is why learning how to use tools for automation is important. Make small changes instead of a bunch of changes at once. This means, take small steps to update your email automation, social media marketing, and other marketing initiatives.
  3. Review data and target where necessary. Data can help you make decisions, that’s for sure. The one thing you don’t want to forget is how valuable it is. Don’t let the data override the needs of your audience though. There isn’t a way for data to be emotional, and having said this, your data should be emotional. Everything you write or record in a video should speak to your audience and evoke a specific emotion in them. If you are unable to do this you could be missing a big portion of your audience.
  4. What is your long-term strategy? Strategy is the name of the game. Do you have a strategy? You’ll need some short-term tactics to drive it home, but your content marketing strategy is a long-term commitment. If you aren’t committed to your content marketing for the long-term, you could be doing more harm than good right now. Focus on quality over quantity. Once you master it you can bump it up a notch.
  5. Draw from prior content. You should know that it isn’t always about what is new. It should be dynamic or exciting, but your prior content has some real gems inside. Don’t lose sight of the real goal. If you remain focused and committed to creating quality content, you’ll discover how simple it is to draw from old articles and other content you’ve published. Just renew some of what you have, and you’ll discover that you can enhance the old and make it like new.

There are so many things you can do to beef up your content marketing strategy while you build it out.

If you don’t remain focused you could lose sight of what you’re working on. Set some goals for yourself, and set some milestones so that you can do what is necessary to build your content and build your business.

There are numerous ways to create high-quality content, but most importantly you should know that your “content marketing” is what you’ll build your business on.

5 Hot Leadership Topics to Focus on This Year

Shaking up the workplace may have been your goal at the start of this year, but there are 5 hot leadership topics that every company should focus on.

Even if you own your own business running it online or you have a brick and mortar location, you need to tune into leadership.

What is changing the game for business owners? What is bringing growth to businesses around the world?

What is helping businesses to get more social engagement from their audience? Some say it is related to technology.

Could the adoption of technology answer this question? What do analysts say about social data and how it directs users to make a decision?

Today, I’m discussing 5 hot leadership topics that everyone should focus on, regardless of the size of their business.

Hot Leadership Topics Everyone Should Focus On

There is a ton of research that has already been conducted to help those of you who are unsure as to what you should focus on when it comes to leadership.

The last three years have been heavily researched in regards to the big topics that should get attention from business owners, CEO’s and all others in leadership positions.

What you may not realize is that some of this has fizzled out because many in leadership positions didn’t take a stand.

Here are 5 hot leadership topics everyone should focus on this year.

  1. Culture. There are many topics that others would believe come first. For me, it’s always about the culture of a company. This is because it’s about the people. When you have great people you can run a great company. Do whatever it takes to make them great. Your employees should come to an experience NOT just a job. It can boost the success of a company or it can drag it down. You choose. You make it great or you make it poor. You want the environment that causes employees to thrive.
  2. Employee engagement. Okay, so this one goes hand-in-hand with the one listed above. Culture and employee engagement work together. Your employees (if you have them) should feel comfortable coming to you with questions. This last year (2017), employees were less engaged than usual. Improving the environment will improve production. This is why listening to what your employees are telling you is important.
  3. Analytics. Good leaders monitor, track their progress, and then focus their efforts and money back into what works. Analytics are a great way of doing this. If you follow and watch your analytics, you’ll see what works and what doesn’t. Your employees can give you great feedback so ask. This is exactly the reason that analytics is one of my chosen for the 5 hot leadership topics.
  4. Diversity. Ah, diversity was a buzzword at one time. It probably still is depending on what company you work for. A diverse workplace is important, and it shows an appreciation for all peoples and cultures. Additionally, diversity in the workplace means cross-training employees. When employees are able to float from one department or task to another, it gives them a sense of fulfillment. They learn more therefore they can do more. This also gives them the ability to set goals so that they are encouraged to learn more and driven to succeed. Diversity is important!
  5. Empathy. Sympathy isn’t appropriate for the workplace but empathy is. This is the one thing that will set you apart from the rest. Learning more about technology and the advanced operations that it poses to your employees can be intimidating. Showing empathy, along with solid training can really help you get further with your employees.

There are many things you can do to lead well. These 5 hot topics are at the top of the list for those who want to lead well and go further.

Chances are, if you using these topics as a guide in your company, you are reaching a greater level of success.

These “hot leadership topics” tend to change from year to year, but I can’t imagine what they’ll think of next!

How to Invest Your Business’s First Profits

business's first profits

You may have been in family owned business recently, noting that they framed their business’s first profits on the wall.

That’s not unusual.

It’s a great way to remember the first day, month, week, and year of business. It’s a great memory for an entrepreneur.

The bigger question is how do you invest your business’s first profits? What can you do to ensure that your business keeps making money?

Even if you haven’t considered this before, it’s time for you to rethink how you’ll handle the money you bring in from your efforts.

This article is going to share with you how you can grow your business and invest your business’s first profits for a better future.

Learn Strategies to Invest Your Business’s First Profits

What should you do when your company starts earning it’s first fruits?

The key is to figure out how to best allocate your funds. The first place you should consider investing in, is any improvement your business can make.

How can you improve your business brand? What about your business’s service offerings?

  1. Draw up a strategic plan. Before you make any future moves, draw up a strategic plan and then follow it. If you don’t have a strategy drawn up you’ll have no roadmap. Have a sound strategy in place, and then you’ll know where those first dollars go. This could mean infrastructure, customer experience etc.
  2. Marketing campaign. What is your first step to an effective marketing campaign? It’s creating one, and then implementing it. Digital marketing is your best bet, and it takes some tools to do so. When you run a campaign, keep track of it. Tools like Mailchimp, Active Campaign, and even Infusion Soft are all different tools used for tracking of open rates of emails, conversion rates and more. Building a sound marketing campaign is the key to determining where to allocate your future marketing dollars. Digital marketing is the best place to invest your business’s first profits.
  3. Need more team members? Be careful who you outsource to. Make sure that these individuals are aligned with your goals and vision for your business. If you build a solid and dedicated workforce, you’ll have no problem bringing your business into alignment with your goals for your future. If you need to add more team members, you’ll be able to grow your business beyond your wildest dreams and serve your customers in a way that says, “Wow”!
  4. Invest in you! As an entrepreneur you’ll face some unique challenges from day one. Your friends and family may not always understand where you’re coming from, and that’s okay. If you can improve yourself, add more skills to your arsenal, and you can build your mental toughness, you’ll be more than halfway to success! Attend conferences when possible and invest in coaching for you personally. It all matters. Being strong mentally is such as valuable to you as being strong physically. It’s another great way to invest your business’s first profits.
  5. Allocate money to a cash buffer. Cash is king, there’s no doubt about it. However, you should know that cash is essential for daily operations too. Don’t spend money on tools you don’t need, and don’t expand your team until you really need to. If you aren’t sure how to do this in a way that won’t dry up your cashflow seek financial counseling from a trusted accountant or other financial expert. You need to know how to best use your funds while saving for a rainy day. Even for your business.

An online business will save you time and money, and it can still be just as rewarding as anything else you are doing.

You can still connect with people, and you’ll be able to connect with more of them as a result.

Using your funds wisely and learning how to create a cash buffer as well as how to allocate funds will help you be very best captain of your ship possible.

Once you prepare by seeking out some sound counseling on how to invest your “business’s first profits,” you’ll be on the path to success.

How to Persuade Your Prospects without Trying to Sell Them

Have you been trying to figure out how to persuade your prospects without trying to cause them to feel as though they have been sold?

There are many different theories as to how to handle a prospect, regardless of what you’re selling.

There isn’t ANY just one way to work at getting someone to come around to your way of thinking.

Prospects are your stepping stone to an expanding business and they are your way to more revenue in the end.

Today, I’m going to share with you how to persuade your prospects and get them to see things your way without making them feel like you are making a sale.

How to Persuade Your Prospects from Day One

There are many things that you can do to attract the right people to your business, but what you may now know is that there is a way to get others to see things your way.

How can you persuade your prospects to see things your way without “selling” them?

Consider that when a doctor tells you to take a specific medication you don’t question it.

It’s important that you do question it, and you have the right to.

In fact, you should know that the reason doctors don’t get certain questions is because they have a very specific type of authority.

The authority that they operate with is so strong that generally speaking, their patients see no need to question them.

Their presentation from start to finish is nearly flawless.

This is when doctors serve the purpose of teaching you how to persuade your prospects in the same fashion.

You can get them to come around to your way of thinking, without a doubt that you are the expert in your field.

You can position yourself for prime attraction in your industry as well when you exert the right amount of authority.

What can you do to ensure that your prospects will follow you and hang on every word?

  1. Market to those who are already interested in your product. If you already have an audience, it’s much easier to get them to buy from you. Make sure that they know who you are and what you want, and then, entice them.
  2. Sell the ultimate dream. If someone wants to be successful they will have a vision of what they expect to happen once they buy what you’re offering. Sell the dream, but be realistic. Do the right thing, and make sure they understand what can happen if they do what they are supposed to do with YOUR product. Paint the picture, but do it right. Tell them if they do X, Y, and Z, they can have it all.
  3. Get your prospects to be curious. Okay, it’s been said that curiosity killed the cat, but did it? The only good way to look at this is to make people be curious about what you are doing and what you’re offering. Offer up a phone call, and once they are on the line, make sure that you listen to what they are saying and/or asking. Get their attention, then keep their attention.
  4. Don’t use hype, but re-iterate how great your product is. Hype is never something I promote here, but build up your product. Make sure that your audience knows you have what it takes to make it in your market. You should portray your product as the win-win for everyone. Don’t snow people into thinking you are something you aren’t, but don’t use hype.

Learning how to persuade your prospects is important, but don’t say things that aren’t true.

Why PEMF Therapy is Becoming More Popular

Have you heard about a popular therapy known as PEMF therapy?

This therapy although not considered conventional medicine, is now being deemed one of the most innovative therapies in the world.

While it falls under the category of energy medicine, it is without a doubt a revolutionary way of healing the mind and body.

Today, I’m going to share with you what this therapy is, and why it’s becoming more popular around the world.

What in the World is PEMF Therapy?

PEMF therapy isn’t really new, but it may be new for you.

The acronym PEMF stands for pulsed, electromagnetic field therapy. That’s a mouthful, but it’s one of the most revolutionary therapies of our time.

It falls into the category of energy medicine, and the very notion of what it is comes from the magnetic fields of the earth.

Those magnetic fields outside the earth are what shield us from dangerous solar rays, otherwise what we refer to as radiation.

Sadly, those magnetic fields have been reduced dramatically over the years. This is bad news for humans and animals.

If you’ve ever wondered why certain cancers are more prevalent, and the onslaught of neurological diseases has increased, it’s all due to a weakening magnetic field.

Here are some things to consider:

  1. Magnetic bracelets are sold to aid in reducing pain.
  2. Magnetic and copper products are now being sold in conjunction with each other for reducing pain, depression, and anxiety.
  3. Energy medicine is conducting more research as it pertains to the world in general.
  4. PEMF therapy, also referred to as rTMS is being utilized for treatment resistant individuals for depression.
  5. PEMF therapy is effective in giving Parkinson’s patients, Alzheimer’s patients, and others suffering from neurological diseases improved quality of life.

These facts alone prove that the magnetic fields are important, and that finding  way to replicate them matters.

There are thousands upon thousands of research studies in Europe and now in the United States that prove the efficacy of this therapy.

Those who seek pain relief, better sleep, renewed energy, and help with other ailments are turning to PEMF therapy for relief and answers.

So, what is it that makes this therapy work?

Why PEMF Therapy is So Effective

“PEMF therapy” is effective, not because it’s been proven many times over but because it works on the cells.

This is what separates this groundbreaking therapy from other types of therapy.

The pulsed electromagnetic fields stimulate the cells, and thus they focus on repairing the damaged cells while strengthening the cells that are normal.

This leaves little room for illness in the body because the cells become supercharged.

Here are some facts about what PEMF’s do to your cells:

  1. Cells are stimulated or become excited.
  2. Cells repair or get stronger.
  3. Ions and molecules are also brought back into balance.
  4. PEMF’s also stimulate bone cells.

There are numerous benefits of these pulsed electromagnetic fields, but most importantly, it is the strength of the cells that matters most.

This means that your immune system can get stronger, and it also means that blood flow will increase.

Proper blood flow can heal inflammation, correct high-blood pressure and low blood pressure, all due to stimulation with these PEMF’s.

Inflammation is at the root of nearly every ailment. If PEMF therapy can help, why not use it?

Generating Leads on the Information Super Highway

generating leads

Generating leads isn’t always the easiest thing to do, but what you may not realize is that the internet is your best friend.

The internet affords us opportunities that we didn’t have before it arrived.

We survived, but it certainly made marketing easier, didn’t it? There are now more options than ever, using this super information highway.

How can you harness it without feeling overwhelmed?

Today, I am going to share with you how you can leverage the most commonly used tool known to man, the computer.

You’ll also discover why this works best, and how you can make it work to your advantage while building a business part-time on the side.

Generating Leads with a Laptop Computer

Regardless of what type of computer you have you can generate leads.

The entire process of getting leads starts from the moment you build a marketing campaign to stimulate your audience.

If you can capture their attention you’re off to a great start.

Owning a computer makes it all possible. I am so convinced of this, I would go so far as to say that you could rent one if you had to before buying to get started.

Generating leads all starts with an attractive offer. A KILLER OFFER. How does this offer look?

  1. It must attract your ideal customer. Once you know who your ideal customer is, you’ll know what offer you should craft for them. Developing a sales pipeline is all dependent on your audience and the offer you craft for them. Will it excite them? Will it cause them to run to your website and click? What about purchase? This is how powerful you need to make your office in order to have the greatest amount of success.
  2. Direct engagement is best. Did you know that engaging with your audience directly is best? Most folks miss this. The idea that you can market online does make it easier for you to engage with your audience. However, this means you MUST talk to them. Video and engaging conversation online in social media platforms is a good way to do this. Directly engage your audience and you’ll have no regrets about how it all ends up.
  3. Deploy your outbound and inbound marketing techniques. Did you know that deploying your outbound marketing is the only way to let people know you exist? Your inbound? Well, let’s just say it’s married to the first marketing method. Once you deploy your outbound marketing method, whatever it is that you chose, you can expect to get folks that email, message and call you. This is ideal because you want them to. You want them to ask you more about who you are and what you are doing. So, how do you handle your inbound marketing? You need to have your funnel started. This means that you need to have a way to respond to those who are asking you about what you’re doing. If you haven’t started this already, make sure that you set up your email marketing campaign. Use a tool like Mail Chimp, or something similar to help you get started. Once you craft some email autoresponders you can have a system set up with a response for so many days out and so on. You’ll have  a system for marketing to those who have purchased from you and those who have not. You’ll be set on autopilot!
  4. Invest in various forms of technology. Did you know that technology isn’t just about your computer? While this will be the place you do most of your work, keep in mind that a good smartphone goes  a long way. You can make your calls, read your emails, and you can track your results in your marketing tools. At the very least, make sure you can access your information. Once you deploy your marketing methods, you’ll want to make sure you have a way to access it all so you can track it. Deploy, track, and repeat. It all counts!
  5. Content creation, curation, and marketing. So, content marketing is where it’s at, but you gotta have the content first. Creating compelling content is the key to launching an amazing business. Content creation, curation, and marketing all go together. It’s the quintessential core to building your online business. It all revolves around content. Create the content, whether written or video, and then market it. If you are struggling to come up with compelling content look to those who are experts and draw from content they have already created. Market video creatively through social media, your website, your blog, and through email marketing. All channels are essential for marketing efforts.

Generating leads will become easier over time when you use these channels to build your business.

It takes time to learn how to implement these tools and how to best use them to your advantage.

Generating Leads the New Way

“Generating leads” is the lifeblood of your business, and if you aren’t prepared to spend time on it, you can’t expect your business to grow.

Creating a pipeline for your business is the only way to make it grow. You create a system, and focus on how to generate leads.

Find creative ways to attract your ideal customer and get them to talk to you. Once you do this, you’ll discover why generating leads online is so simple.

How to Talk to Your Clients About Hormones

how to talk to your clients about hormones

by Lou Schuler

If you regularly discuss testosterone, thyroid hormones, and adrenal problems with your clients, here’s what you need to know … and why you may want to avoid the topic altogether

If your goal in life is to be a weight-loss guru, a bestselling author, and/or a supplement mogul, you can do it in three easy steps:

1. Fixate on a single hormone or hormone category.

2. Give that hormone credit or blame for everything a potential customer wants to have more or less of.

3. Come up with a training program, diet, and and/or nutritional product to enhance or counteract that hormone’s actions.

Granted, the competition is fierce for anything related to sex, muscle mass, or body fat. But all it takes is one new study—or someone hyping up a really old one—to crank up interest all over again.

Dr. Karl Nadolsky has a simple explanation for why there’s so much interest in molecules that so many of us pretend to understand but so few actually do:

“Hormones are sexy,” he says. “They’ve always been sexy. That’s why I went into endocrinology.”

Nadolsky is a clinical endocrinologist in Grand Rapids, Michigan, who’s also board-certified in internal medicine and a diplomate of the American Board of Obesity Medicine. Before medical school, he was a Division I wrestler at Michigan State, where he qualified for the NCAA tournament all four years.

And before all that, he was a lifter and athlete with an unusual ability to pack on muscle—a trait that got him interested in the endocrine system long before he knew what it was. “I’ve been accused of taking steroids since I was a little kid, even when I was prepubertal,” he says.

That’s why I figured Nadolsky would be the perfect guy to talk to about the most common misconceptions related to hormones, and the ways in which trainers should or shouldn’t talk about them with clients.

He sees the most confusion and misinformation in these three areas:

  • Adrenal system
  • Thyroid
  • Sex hormones

But before we get into the specifics, let’s take a step back and talk about hormones in general, and why they’re so difficult to understand without specialized training.

Blame It on Insulin

Your body manufactures some 50 hormones. It makes them everywhere from your brain to your throat to your sex organs. Your skin, bones, fat cells, muscles, organs, and gut all crank out one or more chemical messengers, each of them telling some part of your body what to do, or stop doing.

Virtually every human activity—eating, sleeping, thinking, moving—triggers, and is triggered by, hormonal signals. “All parts of the endocrine system interact to keep each other in some kind of harmonic balance,” Nadolsky says. “Even doctors don’t understand all the interactive pathways.”

We never think about the endocrine system when it’s all working according to factory specs. But when we suspect something has gone wrong, it’s all we can think about. And that’s where trainers are often too quick to jump into the weeds.

Take diabetes, for example. Those with type 1 diabetes need to take insulin because their bodies are incapable of making enough of it to clear glucose from the bloodstream. “Those patients can tend to gain weight,” Nadolsky says, as a result of nutrient partitioning from intensive insulin therapy. “That’s what some low-carbers use to show that insulin causesweight gain.”

Then there’s the well-known link between obesity and type 2 diabetes, a disease of blood-sugar regulation. One of its hallmarks is a drop in insulin sensitivity. The pancreas has to pump out more insulin initially because the tissues are less responsive, but ultimately fails to keep up. Unless the disease is checked, those patients may also end up needing insulin.

Because insulin and obesity are related, a lot of people have jumped to the wrong conclusion: that carbs, which temporarily raise insulin levels, cause obesity.

“All these things come from some sort of truth that gets altered to fit someone’s narrative,” Nadolsky says.

But at least diabetes is a real disease. When fitness pros talk about the adrenal hormones, the conversation often jumps from science to fiction.

Fatigued by the Adrenals

Have you heard of adrenal fatigue? Of course you have. It’s the scourge of modern life:

You burn the candle at all three ends with a high-pressure job, chaotic family life, and all-or-nothing training program. You run on adrenaline and cortisol until, at some point, your adrenal glands give out. You end up chronically tired, stressed, unmotivated, and foggy-brained.

But while the idea of adrenal fatigue makes sense, the diagnosis doesn’t.

“Physicians, naturopaths, and chiropractors, along with trainers and other lay people, sometimes propagate this contention of a disease state called adrenal fatigue,” Nadolsky says. “There is no such pathophysiology.”

Because it’s not a disease, there’s no test for it. And because there isn’t a test for it, anyone can claim a person has it, based on whatever criteria they think that person will find most believable. From there it’s just a short step to an alternative practitioner—well-meaning or otherwise—convincing one of your clients not only that she has it, but that the cure is a special combination of supplements the practitioner just happens to sell.

Your move:

You’re in no position to argue with someone your client considers a medical expert. But you can do three things:

  • Share this position paper from the Endocrine Society.
  • Recommend that your client get a second opinion, preferably from an endocrinologist like Nadolsky. Because there is a real condition called adrenal insufficiency, she may need more than a good night’s sleep.
  • Provide a less taxing training program, one that allows maximum recovery. But no matter how tired she is, encourage her to keep moving.

First Step to Entrepreneurship

first step to entrepreneurship

What is the first step to entrepreneurship?

It’s not coming up with a fantastic idea. It’s not even coming up with a great, shiny product.

Becoming an entrepreneur is about solving problems. If you can problem solve for a specific group of people, you have a business.

Ever wonder why products fail? They are not needed. It can be proven. Over the last ten years, 42% of products have failed.

Today, I’ll share with you some astounding statistics on product failure, and what you can do to make sure that you don’t.

The First Step to Entrepreneurship Is NOT a Product

There are tons of things people want.

It’s new entertainment, new shoes, new clothing, the latest vacation spot and more.

There isn’t anything wrong with those things, but if you look at the world as as a whole it isn’t needed.

This is why elite vacation spots have such a high price-tag. Only a few can afford it.

Those who created it know this, and that is why they have to charge an insane amount of money to get anything out of it.

However, the first step to entrepreneurship is problem solving. The only things that make sense have longevity and are NOT a quick fix.

Here is a good example.

  1. A diet doesn’t solve the problem of weight loss, but a program that offers a nutrition plan for a person’s daily life and menu will solve the problem. This is why more dieters have success with programs like Weight Watchers. The problem isn’t necessarily the food, but it’s having a team of encouragers that help people know they are NOT alone. They need a certain degree of counsel, cheerleading, and a plan.
  2. A product like a massage roller is great, but the product that is really the problem solver is there Theracane. It can offer massage but in tight places where people get knots. Whether you get knots in your neck, back, or elsewhere, Theracane is a great choice. It gets things done because it gets into the knot and releases it. Problem solved.

Can you see how this works?

It’s all about being specific.

Those who want to become entrepreneurs may have good ideas, but what makes it a great idea is getting into the problem solving arena.

If you don’t want to fail, focus on solving problems rather than creating products.

What else do you need to remember before you start your new journey into entrepreneurship?

First Step to Entrepreneurship is Targeting the Top Problems

The first step to entrepreneurship is targeting the top problems.

What are they?

  1. There is no such thing as an overnight success. Everyone will need time to start something and bring it to fruition. Most overnight successes have taken 5 years or more.
  2. Focus on your strengths. You know this is true if you have ever focused on a problem you are facing! Focusing on problems will get you nowhere. Focus on your strengths or what you’re good at. If you focus on problems you’ll just think more about the problem and other problems related to it.
  3. Get the right team around you. Making sound business connections is good, but getting the right team of people in your niche will mean a lot. Many start-ups are failing because they have the wrong people involved. You might want to get to know someone because they are popular or they have connections, but you MUST focus on the connections that matter. Nearly 29% of startups fail because the wrong folks are involved in the process.
  4. Fail quickly and fail often. Failing isn’t a bad thing, but in our culture, we are consumed with failing being a bad thing. Those who have failed know that they learned something from screwing things up. Fail quickly if you are going to fail and fail often. It’s helpful to just get it out of the way!
  5. Understand your value proposition. You should know what it is, but you should also understand it. What is your value proposition? Do you understand it? Make it clear to your audience how you can help them. This is the very foundation and “first step to entrepreneurship”. If no one knows what you are doing, you won’t either!

Being your own boss can be rewarding, and it’s a lot of work. Once you have an idea, make sure that you refine it down to solving a problem.

Problem solving is what matters most, and it’s important that you solidify this as your first step to entrepreneurship so that you become a massive success!

Information and Creation Basics

Information and creation go together, and it’s tough to find businesses that do it well.

Fortunately, now there is some sound research and dedicated content out there on creating content and marketing it.

Strategy is the key to marketing….period.

What is it that you need to know before you get started? What is it that you should do in order to create that perfect marketing campaign?

Today, I am going to tell you why information and creation go together. You’ll learn what secret sauce is, and WHY it’s so hard for people to get it right.

How Information and Creation Go Together

Okay, so I get it.

It’s another article about creating. What you don’t realize  is why information and creation go together.

Many great businesses miss this. They don’t understand that creating an information product is the key to getting attention.

Want to attract others and get traction?

If you do, then keep reading. Information is essential to get others to know how you can help them.

Information is what you need from your prospects or about them to help them solve their problem.

Creating and sharing information with your audience is what makes them want to talk with you.

You put a post on Facebook and within seconds someone is either clicking on “Like”, or they are sharing it or commenting.

This is how we know information works. It wins the day.

It’s no surprise that then that information and creation go together. You can gather information and then create a report.

You can create a number of things for your audience including:

  1. Tips
  2. A resource list
  3. A short report
  4. A low ticket product

Whatever it is, you’ll need to create something that shares valuable information with your prospects.

The same is true regardless of what industry  you’re referring to.

You could be using this model for doctors, lawyers, dentists, chiropractors, financial advisors and more.

Offer your valuable information, and then you’ll see them flock.

To you.

Every time, you publish something.

Every time you make an offer.

What will it take for you to implement this strategy of sharing information and then creating the right information product or lead magnet?

Proof of Information and Creation at Work

If you ever doubt that information and creation work well, take a look at Facebook as a whole. It is no longer a social platform. It is a search engine.

If you doubt this, go to your search bar and type anything in there you like. You’ll get some queries, guaranteed.

All of these sites and social platforms are great for data mining. This is because they are loaded with people now that share their valuable information.

Places to go, people to see, what’s happening today in your city….all of it. It’s like a never-ending saga of information.

For real.

This is how we know that information is important. Once you gather the right type of information, you need to create something for your audience and share it.

Get them to talk to you.

When you share information, you can expect a response. In fact, this type of approach will not only get your audience to talk to you.

It will get them to take action.

They figure, if you are sharing information with them that can help them solve a problem, then you care about THEM.

Not the other way around.

If you are self-serving, and you only want to see what you can do for yourself, by all means, go ahead.

However, you’ll soon discover that approach doesn’t work. They can find out who you are and get to know you better.

They will ONLY want to do that if you share something valuable with them. Don’t forget it.

So, what did you learn here today?

It’s all about sharing the absolute best of what you have with others. If you are focused on building a business, and you want to hit it hard, focus on “information and creation”.
